The editor
The profile editor is where you write and manage one profile. Open it from the dashboard by selecting Edit on a profile card. It has a top bar, a sidebar and a main area for the section or tool you select.
The top bar
Section titled “The top bar”- Last published shows when you last published, or Not published yet.
- The Live / Hidden switch controls whether visitors can open the profile.
- Visit Live opens your public page. It is disabled while the profile is hidden or unpublished.
On a phone, these controls move into the menu. Select the menu button in the top bar to open the sidebar.
The publish strip
Section titled “The publish strip”A strip appears under the top bar when you have saved edits that are not published, or when the profile has never been published. It holds Publish changes (Publish the first time) and, once you have published before, Discard changes. When everything is published, the strip disappears. See publish and go live.
The sidebar
Section titled “The sidebar”Back to Dashboard and the profile’s handle sit at the top. Below them are two groups.

- Import: fill the profile from a file. See import a resume.
- Site settings: search listing, link previews and primary domain. See site settings.
- Contact Form: the settings for a contact form. The website templates do not show the form yet, so visitors cannot send you a message through it.
Content
One item for each section on your resume, in order. The ring beside each one shows how complete it is. Select a section to edit it.
Edit and save
Section titled “Edit and save”- Select a section under Content.
- Change its fields. An Unsaved changes badge appears.
- Select Save. The badge changes to Saved as draft.
- Select Publish changes in the strip when you want visitors to see it.
Where Save sits depends on the section:
- A section with one set of details has Save and Discard in a bar beside the title. The bar stays in view as you scroll.
- A section with a list of entries shows each entry as a row you open. Save and Discard are in the open entry’s header, with the bin icon to delete it.
- Some list sections use a quicker layout. Depending on the section, rows save by themselves as you type, or one Save covers the whole section.
Discard drops only the unsaved edits in that form.
Leave with unsaved edits
Section titled “Leave with unsaved edits”If you select another section or tool while a form has unsaved edits, the editor asks Discard unsaved changes? Select Keep editing to stay, or Discard & leave to drop them. Your browser also warns you before you close or reload the tab.
If something goes wrong
Section titled “If something goes wrong”- Save is disabled. Nothing has changed yet, or a field has an error. Fix the field marked with a message.
- Save your edits first when publishing: a form still has unsaved edits. Save or discard them, then publish.
- Profile not found. None of your profiles uses the handle in the address. Select Back to Dashboard.
- The profile is locked on your plan. You hold more profiles than your plan allows. Delete a profile or upgrade to open it. See plans, limits and add-ons.
