Create your first profile
A profile is created by a three-step wizard: claim a handle, choose a blueprint, confirm. The first time you sign in, the wizard opens by itself. After that, start it from the dashboard.
Create the profile
Section titled “Create the profile”- Open the dashboard and select New Profile, or go straight to the new profile wizard.
- Claim your URL handle. Type the handle you want. The field shows the address it creates, in the form
oceanresume.app/yourhandle.- Use 3 to 30 characters: lowercase letters, numbers,
-,_and@. - The handle must start and end with a letter or a number.

- Wait for Available! under the field. If you see Not available, select one of the suggestions under Try one of these instead, or type a different handle.
- Select Continue.
- Choose a blueprint. A blueprint is a set of defaults: sections, a template and a style. Each card shows its name, its category, and the template and font it uses. Select one, then select Continue.
- Ready to launch? Check the summary: Your handle, Blueprint, Look and Sections. Select Back to change something.
- Select Create profile.
You return to the dashboard, where the new profile has its own card marked Hidden. Select Edit to open it.
Leave the wizard
Section titled “Leave the wizard”On your first visit the wizard shows Skip, which takes you to the dashboard without a profile. When you start the wizard from the dashboard, the same button reads Cancel. From step 2 onward the button is Back, and your browser’s Back button also moves one step back.
After the profile is created
Section titled “After the profile is created”A new profile is Hidden and has never been published, so visitors cannot see it yet.
- Fill it in by importing a resume or by editing its sections and entries.
- When it is ready, publish and go live.
Limits
Section titled “Limits”The number of profiles you can hold depends on your plan. When you have none left, the wizard shows You’ve reached your profile limit in place of the steps. Select See upgrade options, or delete a profile you no longer need to make room. See plans, limits and add-ons.
If something goes wrong
Section titled “If something goes wrong”- Not available for a handle that looks free: some handles cannot be claimed. Choose another.
- This handle is no longer available on the last step: someone took the handle while you were setting up. Select Change handle and pick a new one.
- Failed to load blueprints or No blueprints available: select Try again.
- Continue stays disabled: on step 1 the handle must show Available!; on step 2 a blueprint must be selected.
